The Marketing Manager establishes marketing strategies that advance organizational objectives and leads all marketing and advertising activities for the Miami Book Fair (MBF). This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

    Develops, plans and executes marketing plans and strategies that advance organizational objectives and ensures that the Miami Book Fair brand is reaching the appropriate target audiencesAssists in the implementation of long-range marketing plans and produces materials in various media including print, broadcast and web/digital mediaConsults with directors and program managers to identify needs, objectives, marketing deliverables and design approachesDevelops marketing agenda, schedules and budgets as required for each projectCollects data to evaluate customer research, market conditions, competitor data and advertising trendsAssists with securing media sponsorships, presentations and promoting programsServes as a liaison with external advertising personnel and related persons to coordinate the planning and reservation of advertising space in a variety of mediums Manages marketing resources according to agreed budgets, monitors and verifies expenditure of budgeted fundsProvides marketing recommendations to the Director of Programs & StrategyOversees and ensures effective workflow and trafficking of jobsPerforms other duties as assigned
