Position SummaryThe Director will play an essential role in leading the successful execution of the NYU College Advising Corps mission, ensuring the successful placement of over 80 advisers at over 80 schools across New York City, with the goal of increasing the number of students who apply to, are accepted and eventually enroll in higher education. The Director will collaborate with the Senior Director, Admissions Pipeline Programs on ensuring the health and sustainability of the College Advising Corps program at NYU. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of adviser on-boarding, support and engagement. The Director will also ensure stakeholder engagement for program partner high schools.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:5+ years relevant experience in a university admissions or higher education position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Demonstrated ability to think strategically. Must be able to work well in a changing, ambiguous environment and practice creative problem solving. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to plan, develop, implement, and assess student programs. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and supervise staff in a cooperative work environment. Demonstrated public speaking ability. Skilled at stakeholder and audience engagement at multiple levels. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to solve difficult problems using sound judgment and analysis. Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities, while remaining flexible and proactive. Ability to accurately and consistently meet deadlines.
