DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director of Patient Engagement and Experience Strategy, the incumbent is responsible for producing and designing all patient facing materials including welcome packets, Patient Resource Guide, new patient packets, discharge folders, etc. Directs clean-up and standardization of After Visit Summaries in collaboration with key stakeholders. Manages all facilities notes that go to patients either via mailer, email or phone message, as well as patient facing notices/memos posted in any on-stage space. Consults with internal stakeholders on development of My Chart landing page content, My Chart letters and welcome emails.

Oversees automated messaging including appointment reminders and scripting for emails, voicemails, text messages, phone trees, signage in clinics and maps. Collaborates with the Office of Experience Transformation on design, content and layout of experience and physician newsletters, Experiencing Us website and creation of an electronic thank you notes program for team members. Consults on all other internal Experience and Transformational Health communications including development, presentation and recommendations for web content, patient communications related to participation in process improvement and voice of the customer opportunities, site architecture and visual materials. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring technical accuracy and understandability of all web content, printed materials, and electronic messages.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in communication, journalism, business, healthcare administration or related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • A minimum of five (5+) or more years marketing or writing patient facing materials

  • Experience and proven success in fundamentals of writing, grammar, syntax, style, and punctuation and advanced skills to write clear, lively, engaging, compelling and effective copy in a variety of styles appropriate to target audiences and the broader public.

  • Proven record of service excellence and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in an academic health system environment
