This position teams with other professional staff members of the Terry College of Business Undergraduate Program Office and provides student services support from admissions through graduation. It also provides administrative support to the Director of Undergraduate Programs as needed.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Initial Point of Contact
Serves as the initial face-to-face contact for everyone entering the UPO, including current & visiting students. Independently responds to all emails received by the [email protected] account, and handles many of the general questions and concerns of walk-in visitors and callers to the UPO. Uses Athena/Banner, DegreeWorks and the SARA advising system to access student records and provide information to students. Explains Terry eligibility requirements and major selection criteria to prospective applicants. Handles basic inquiries about Terry programs. Assists admitted Terry students with pre-requisite overrides, changing majors, late adding classes and other needs. Refers students to other contacts inside and outside Terry as needed.
Provides administrative support to Director and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs. Handles requests as assigned.
Manages College-level scholarships: Coordinates and collects data from major departments for the following scholarships and awards: several family and corporate scholarships, Who’s Who Among American Colleges and Universities, Delta Sigma Pi (1st Honor graduates), Honors Senior of the Year Award, and the Blue Key National Honor Society. Handles membership recruitment for the International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma each spring semester.
Serves as Sectioning Officer for MSIT 3000: Provides scheduling and logistical support for all sections of MSIT 3000 (Business Statistics). Coordinates with the Statistics Department re: scheduling and enrollment projections for the course. Loads all sections in Banner system. Works with Campus Reservations to schedule classrooms for midterm and final mass exams in MSIT 3000.
Assists the office with preparing for various student information events, including New Dawgs, GA Scholars Day, and summer orientation. Helps represent Terry at UGA recruitment events such as First Look (as needed). Prepares information folders for use at these events and during Terry Tours. Assists with planning and execution of Terry Major Orientation (2-times per academic year), annual Terry Honors Day and annual Terry Convocation.
Advisor Meeting Recording Secretary
Serves as Secretary for advisor meetings. Schedules monthly meetings for the Director and all Terry undergraduate advisors. Collects information, prepares agenda, and notifies appropriate persons. Attends meetings and prepares minutes.
