The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, has a part-time Research Professor position available. This individual be responsible for coordination and management of the Diabetic Foot Research in Dermatology Fund, which supports advancement of studies in the prevention and treatment of foot lesions and other complications resulting from diabetes. They will be responsible for overseeing the application process, attending weekly calls for discussion of progress, as well as recruitment of patients and data analysis. This position requires expertise in the diagnosis of the high risk foot, management of foot ulcers and prevention of amputation. This individual will also be expected to submit grants to support research efforts and transfer any eligible grants to cover his/her professional income expenses and contribute to the Department of Dermatology for each fiscal year.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, in teaching, and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently as part of a collaborative group.
