Under the supervision of the Program Manager, Respiratory Care Satellite Blood Gas Laboratory the Respiratory Care Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of the Satellite Blood Gas Laboratory housed with Respiratory Care.
Under general supervision, performs waived, moderate, and high complexity testing; evaluates test results; performs and evaluates quality control procedures; performs preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Provides laboratory services in a timely manner and consistently delivers excellent customer service. Serves as a technical resource for customers, other staff. Adheres to all safety policies.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of California.
A minimum of five (5+) or more years of relevant experience.
Experience and proven knowledge in respiratory care theory and industry best practices.
Proven ability to apply knowledge and skills to recommend improvements to Respiratory operations.
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Clinical specialty certification.
- Experience coordinating operations for Blood Gas Laboratory
