Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Office of Admissions

Lake Forest College, a liberal arts institution located 30 miles north of Chicago, seeks applications immediately for a Marketing and Communication Coordinator in the Office of Admissions.

The team within the Office of Admissions includes skilled recruiters, supported by an internal marketing team. This position, reporting to the Director of Admissions Marketing, assists with the development of marketing and communications strategies to further support the mission and vision of the College and equip recruiters with tools to effectively manage their territories.

The ideal candidate is an experienced writer who can engage a wide range of the College’s external stakeholders and has the ability to multitask and handle shifting priorities. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing and editorial skills, as well as knowledge of and facility for the latest digital and social media trends. Experience working in higher education is a plus.

The candidate must have an exceptional work ethic, strong organizational skills, and give evidence of meeting scheduled deadlines. The job may require occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication plans and measure effectiveness for various populations including students, parents, high school counselors, community college counselors.
  • Create an admissions content calendar and contribute to College’s content calendar.
  • Assist with digital marketing campaigns.
  • Update all admissions webpages.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Communication and Marketing to further develop key social media channels to support recruitment.
  • Manage inventory of print collateral and assist with annual updates of key recruitment pieces.
  • Develop strong partnerships across the College to ensure the most up-to-date and engaging content is delivered to key constituents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Technical proficiency working in a Customer Relationship Management tool preferred. The Office of Admissions uses Technolutions Slate.
  • Basic knowledge of photography, video-editing, SEM/SEO, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
