This position is responsible for leading and implementing fundraising projects, events and donor communications. The position may manage a number of projects simultaneously.

Essential Job Functions

Manages projects with competing priorities and timelines.

Job Specific Task List

1.Manages projects with competing priorities and timelines, while working reciprocally with colleagues and external partners. Monitors progress toward each project’s deliverables.
2.Plans and coordinates special events for constituent groups, including alumni, retirees and donors
3.Assists with developing communications to internal and external stakeholders, including fundraising proposals and fundraising outcomes-related reports
4.Meets regularly with and reports to the director of philanthropy
5.Manages the various generic email inboxes for the Philanthropy Department
6.Manages donor stewardship projects, including donor plaques and donor recognition walls
7.Handles other duties, projects and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience

Associate’s degree and three years of experience in a related field. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing RequirementsPhysical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Working conditions: None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).

Qualifications: Preferred Experience

•Possess at least three years of experience in project management
•Possess excellent decision-making, editing, interpersonal, organizational, planning, proofreading, verbal communication and writing skills
•Possess the ability to solve problems, think critically and work independently
•Demonstrate ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects
•Demonstrate ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders effectively and courteously
•Demonstrate the ability to maintain a high level of performance
•Demonstrate punctuality, discretion, integrity, confidentiality and ability to be proactive
•Demonstrate competency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Access, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
