Adjunct Instructor – Biomedical Engineering

The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in Ewing, NJ is a highly selective, public institution that has earned national recognition for its commitment to excellence. The School of Engineering at TCNJ is hiring talented, part-time adjunct faculty to teach subjects in Biomedical Engineering, including Bioinstrumentation, Biomaterials, Biomechanics, Systems Physiology. Biofluids, Biotransport, and Advanced Engineering Mathematics II (Partial Differential Equations and Probability/Statistics).

Although we are accepting applications for all of these areas, we have specific need for instructors in advanced elective topics for 3rd and 4th year students. Examples of such courses include Advanced cardiovascular fluid dynamics, Injury biomechanics, Artificial organs, Biomedical imaging, and topics in tissue engineering. The topic should be based on the instructor’s education and experience. Additionally, these advanced elective topics courses include a design hour wherein the instructor will guide students in hands-on and/or literature-based design that complements the core lecture material.

Individuals should hold a PhD in an appropriate field relevant to the proposed topic, but individuals with a master degree and/or specialized experience will be considered and are encouraged to apply. Previous teaching experience, industrial experience, or professional licensure is a plus. We work with our adjunct faculty to schedule teaching that fits into work and personal schedules.
