The School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) is pleased to offer a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to a quantitative researcher. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work with Dr. Nianbo Dong on an IES funded project on developing Empirical Benchmarks for Interpreting Effect Size and Design Parameters for Planning Multilevel Randomized Trials on Social and Behavioral Outcomes, and an NSF funded project on developing statistical tools for power analysis of moderator effects in multilevel multi-site randomized experiments. This is 12-month appointment beginning in Fall 2019 or Spring 2020, contingent on the availability of the applicant, possible renewal for second year.

Educational Requirements

An earned doctorate in quantitative methods, or in education, psychology, sociology, public policy, or economics with strong quantitative skills.

Qualifications and Experience

•Familiarity with research methodology commonly used in education and the social sciences (e.g., multilevel modeling, randomized control trials)
•Proficiency with one or more statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R).
•Strong communications skills.
