 TheDepartment of Orthopedics has anopening for a full-time, University Staff (unclassified) Inverness ProgramCoordinator (Business Services Intermediate Professional) position.

Nature of Work:

Thisfull-time, University Staff (non-classified) position is responsible forhigh-level program support to the faculty and Directors at the Inverness center.The Inverness Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the centerprograms and its faculty within this location. This position will communicate,document and support all of the efforts for the faculty and in doing so willmaintain relationships with various personnel throughout the School of Medicineand Affiliate Hospitals. This role must exercise critical judgement andconsiderable initiative in administrative management. Responsibilities for thisposition include multiple calendar management, generating documents, meetingcoordination and preparation, presentations, spreadsheets, travel arrangementsand reimbursements, medical legal activities, academic and clinical scheduling.This position provides cross coverage for other administrative positions asneeded.

 Examplesof Work Performed:

  • In collaboration, implement identified needs for the program suchas faculty recruitment, scheduling, additional certifications, and logistics.
  • Manages projects and process improvement activities related to theInverness program; reports on progress, and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Provides high level coordination and analysis on various sectionstrategic projects.
  • Manages provider licensing, certifications, memberships, andhospital credentialing.
  • Manages recruitment and onboarding support for new providers.
  • Acts as Inverness center resource and main point of contactrelation to credentialing, medical legal requests, procurement, Qgenda andprovider onboarding.
  • Oversees the application, submission, and maintenance of CUMedicine sites of practice for the department.
  • Works with Steadman Hawkins Director of Operations to implementidentified needs for the Inverness Center such as operational support for manyphysicians and Directors, scheduling, additional certifications, and logisticsto ensure compliance.
  • Assists with academic and clinical scheduling for faculty supportincluding the Qgenda system.
  • Coordinates meeting space needs on and off site; coordinatesevents, including selecting and scheduling the venue.
  • Manages faculty calendars and meeting coordination by usingemail/MS Outlook and Doodle.
  • Process procurement requests, travel arrangements (includinginternational), and reimbursements for providers.
  • Scheduling and billing for medical legal requests.

 Salary and Benefits:The hiring salary forthis position is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. Thisposition is not eligible for overtime compensation.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Abachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting,education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration,communications, information systems, or a directly related field from anaccredited institution.
  • Two(2) years of professional level experience working in an academic settingalongside healthcare providers, which included one (1) year of experience in anadministrative support role for a senior level position (i.e. Director, Chair,etc.).
  • Substitution: A combination of education andrelated technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for thebachelor’s degree on a year for year basis, but not for the specificexperience.

     Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience coordinating travel and related purchasing andexpense reimbursements in the Concur system.
  • Experience providing administrative and technical assistance to faculty and staff within a higher education and/or medical education environment.
  • Experience in managing multiple schedules.
