The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate and post transfer credit from all sources, including accredited institutions; examinations; portfolio review, study abroad, etc., for new, continuing, and transfer students.
The position also supports curriculum change management through support of curriculum committees and maintenance of the catalog and curricular systems.
This position works directly with Department Chairs in the review of individual courses and establishment of transfer policies and is responsible for providing updates to the University Registrar’s web page, the student information system, and the Undergraduate Catalog concerning transfer policies. This position is an integral part of the transfer process at the College.
The individual holding this position is responsible for tracking submissions of, and posting the equivalencies for, International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement programs, and appropriate international programs such as A-levels, French Baccalaureat and the German Abitur to student records.
This position is the primary point of contact for student information concerning transfer work and will participate in the transfer student orientations and events representing the Office of the University Registrar.
•Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Experience managing complex enrollment processes, following applicable laws, procedures, and guidelines.
•Experience in providing strong customer service to students in higher education or similar clientele
•Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., Banner) and other technology applications.
•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, to include substantial knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
•Experience in higher education and with the Banner student information system highly preferred.
•Working knowledge of degree requirements and a familiarity with the process of reviewing academic credentials and awarding transfer credit in consultation with appropriate department chairs and program directors.
•Demonstrates an understanding of academic policies and procedures at the College
•Experience working in a University Registrar’s Office as well as Admissions experience
•Experience making presentations to large groups.

The standard work week is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. After-hours and on weekends are occasionally required for transfer student initiatives. Other occasions tend to be linked with major university initiatives such as commencement and orientation.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
