Evening Manager, Cleveland, OH Education Center

Position Summary:

Shall serve as administrative and operational support to the Regional Sites Manager, Director, and Regional Dean and be responsible for evening and weekend operations. Shall assist in all areas of building operations which include student and faculty support, internal/external customer service, performs clerical duties, classroom set-ups, building maintenance, technical troubleshooting, day-to-day operations of Front Desk coverage, security, and occupant safety.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to Regional Sites Manager, Director, and Regional Dean

Education Requirements:

High School diploma or GED required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Review evening usage schedule, unlock classrooms, ensure A/V equipment is in place and room is ready for classroom usage.
  2. Ensure service areas of the building are properly maintained and adequately stocked with supplies. This includes but is not limited to the kitchen, student lounge, restrooms, common areas, vending, etc.
  3. Greet and assist students and faculty as they enter the building for classes. Be prepared to direct them to their classroom as well as to the service areas of the building. Assist students and faculty with instructional supplies and the troubleshooting of A/V equipment. Responsible to answer phones once the office staff has left for the evening.
  4. Make decisions with regard to building and occupant safety. This includes but is not limited to notification of weather emergencies and building evacuations.
  5. Assist with minor and routine building maintenance issues. Among them include changing light bulbs, ceiling tiles, painting, cleaning spills, clean parking lot debris, etc.
  6. After evening classes, ensure rooms are set-up for the next day’s activities (classes or conferences). Ensure building is locked and secure following the evening shift.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service-related field. Must possess an attitude of servanthood.
  • Experience and good working knowledge with a variety of technology and office equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical labor (move tables, chairs, deliver books, equipment, etc.)
  • Ability to make sound and rational decisions.
  • Able to work with a minimum of supervision with time management skills.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
    Climbing, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion.
