Description

 

The part-time Research Project Associate, for the Lewis Katz School of Medicine’s Department Clinical Sciences (DCS) will be a recruiter for the “SnapBack Study”, a study related to obesity treatment and maternal and child health. The part-time Research Project Associate will be under the supervision of the Project Director of “SnapBack”. 

 Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruitment and retention of new moms from Philadelphia WIC offices for “SnapBack” (this involves approaching and consenting mothers, as well as explaining our study), administering eligibility screeners at WIC, scheduling study visits, administering questionnaires, data entry, and maintaining patient charts/files. The incumbent will complete screening visits that involve consenting participants, completing anthropometric measures, data entry, and determining study eligibility under the supervision of the Project Director.

 Additionally, the part-time Research Project Associate will work to recruit and retain participants for a second study, "BabyBeHealthy, with the same duties as required for SnapBack. Performs other duties as assigned. 

 Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 6 months of client facing activities (such as sales, teaching, or recruiting). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

 Required Skills and Abilities:*Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of professionals.

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.*Demonstrated prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and organizational skills, along with the ability to be detail-oriented.

*Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, adapt to change, effectively manage time and deadlines and work under stressful circumstances

*Demonstrated ability to operate all standard office equipment and software including MS Office.
