Job Description:

The Department of International and Comparative Education and Department of Psychology are seeking to recruit one or more part-time professors to teach courses in the Graduate Diploma in Inclusive Education. This graduate diploma is jointly offered by both departments and integrates interdisciplinary perspectives aimed at ensuring that school children of different abilities and backgrounds can effectively learn and participate together. The courses cover the following topics: psychology in the schools; human development and learning theory; strategies for reaching diverse and underserved learners; utilizing assessments and evaluation tools for diagnostic and learning interventions, designing programs and environments to support inclusive education, and supervision of a four-months placement in an educational setting.


Requirements:

Applicants should have a doctorate in a discipline related to inclusive education and diverse learners, and strong track record of related practice in the K-12 school setting. Applicants should show commitment to diversity and social justice, and commitment to inclusive models rather than segregation.
