The Computer Science Department at the College of Charleston invites applications for a visiting assistant or associate professor or visiting instructor position for the Spring 2020 semester. The department anticipates searching for one or two tenure-track junior faculty positions in Fall 2020 (for which qualified visiting faculty members may apply).
The rapidly-growing Computer Science department has over 550 students who are enrolled in five undergraduate degree programs and two master’s programs. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in undergraduate teaching, interest in innovative curriculum development, and ability to act as a role model for Computer Science undergraduates. All areas of computer science may apply. A successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a PhD in Computer Science (or closely related field) for a visiting assistant or associate professor appointment; a master’s is required for an instructor-level visiting appointment.
