Primary Objective:CCC’s Office of Human Resources is committed to fostering an environment that attracts, motivates, and retains a highly skilled and diverse workforce. In support of this mission, the Chief Talent Officer will serve as a strategic partner on all human resource related matters and ensure that CCC has the right talent, systems, practices, policies and culture to grow, develop, and empower employees.
Essential Duties:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, partner and thought leader to the Chancellor in the areas of leadership, talent acquisition, staff development, change management, performance management, succession planning, total rewards, and the implication of short and long term decisions and strategies
  • Provide leadership, vision, development, and overall management of human resources policies, processes, and programs that attract and retain high performing and diverse talent and promote CCC as an employer of choice
  • Build trust with employees across CCC and be an active listener and effective problem solver of employee issues while helping support CCC’s priorities and goals
  • Lead strategic conversations with senior leadership on organizational design, organizational development, and senior-level succession planning
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on developing a culture of learning, continuous feedback and career progression by creating experiences that engage and develop employees
  • Lead efforts to design and establish human resources systems and workflow processes supported by cutting-edge technology that maximizes efficiency and has the capacity to scale up to support potential growth and expansion
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of eight years of experience in human resources; Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy or a related field preferred
  • Five years of experience as a senior leader at an institution of higher education, public sector environment, and/or a large complex organization
  • Experience working with unions preferred
  • Experience managing, developing and leading high-performing teams towards successful outcomes
  • Ability to translate strategy into plans and effectively drive initiatives, setting direction, engaging multiple parties, executive outcomes, and communication to key stakeholders
  • Knowledge of current regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding human resources
