Rider University’s Division of Student Affairs invites applications for the Coordinator of Recreation Programs. This individual supports student involvement, student leadership development and wellness through the coordination of a variety of Intramural and Club Sports programs and wellness events. The Coordinator will contribute collaboratively to Rider’s vibrant living and learning community by expanding evening and weekend programming. During the summer months, the Coordinator reports to Auxiliary Services and provides leadership, supervision, and support for summer camps and conferences hosted by external clients. This is a live-on campus position which includes a full efficiency apartment and a meal plan to utilize in various on-campus dining facilities.   

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Student Personnel or related field with experience in a related position. A Master’s degree is preferred. Flexibility with work schedule is necessary, as weekends and evenings are required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, budgeting and management skills. Multicultural competency, desire and ability to work with diverse student populations. Ability to function independently, attending to detail and meeting deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of NIRSA rules and regulations. Knowledge in working with Google Suite, Word, Excel, Campus Labs, imleagues.com  and HTML authoring tools is preferred.
