Job description

DescriptionAs a member of the Fox Graduate division reporting to the Executive Director of MBA and MS Programs, the Associate Director of MBA/MS Student Experience collaborates with the Executive Director, program advisors, departmental Academic Directors, Graduate Admissions, the Center for Student Professional Development and the Alumni Development Office to plan and implement programs and activities to ensure continuous improvement in service resulting in an optimal student experience. The innovative, action oriented, and results driven incumbent will be a key member of the Fox team and will be responsible for student service, retention, communication and engagement of current students.  
Activities will focus on communication and engagement with students.  As such, the Associate Director will manage the current student communication plans, increase student retention, coordinate awards, maintain current student portal(s), and manage co-curricular activities and engagement initiatives for current students.  The Associate Director actively participates in the recruiting and yielding of masters’ degree students with the Graduate Enrollment Management Office and works closely with the Directors of the Center for Student and Professional Development to ensure that students have exposure to corporate representatives and alumni to optimize their career potential and enhance their marketability. The Associate Director will also oversee distribution of satisfaction surveys and coordinate collaborative discussions for survey review and continuous improvement initiatives across programs. 
Required Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree and at least four (4) years of progressive experience in higher education administration, program management, student advising, development, counseling and/or student services. Demonstrated customer service or student engagement experience and experience with research strategies and tactics, such as surveys and calling campaigns, to acquire, analyze and act upon student/customer feedback.  A combination of education and experience may be considered.       
Required Skills & Abilities:•Ability to effectively work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, both in the US and internationally on a daily basis.•Demonstrated ability to work as a team player as well as to proactively interact across multiple levels, units and divisions; •Strong written and oral communication skills.•Demonstrated ability to independently anticipate and identify problems, obstacles and opportunities and take decisive action to address them.•Demonstrated customer service skills along with the ability to interact with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.•Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks with constant interruptions.•Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet applications and ability to use web-based computer software such as WebEx, Banner, Salesforce, Blackboard etc. •Ability to work some evenings and weekends as required.  •Ability to travel to Temple University Main Campus, Temple University Center City Campus as well as off-campus sites that may not be accessible via public transportation.
Preferred:* Masters in Business or Education* Banner and/or Salesforce experience
