The Ithaca College School of Business invites applications for a full-time, term Instructor/Assistant Professor of Business Law position to begin August 16, 2020. This is a non-tenure eligible three-year renewable term appointment. Duties include teaching assigned classes in Business Law and Commercial Law, and other courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels commensurate with experience; participating in departmental, school, and college service; and advising students as needed. Position/Job Qualifications

A JD from an ABA accredited law school is required. A CPA and/or LLM with the ability to teach courses in accounting or taxation is desirable, but not required. Candidates must have a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school; preference will be given to candidates who have bar admission; a substantial track record teaching undergraduate law courses either full or part-time; demonstrated evidence of scholarly activity; experience practicing law or serving as counsel; experience working with college-age cohort; evidence of classroom experience and development of materials for course delivery such as texts; experience developing and delivering on-line courses. We prefer candidates who share our commitment to professional preparation within the context of an interdisciplinary and immersive liberal arts education.
