Job Summary: The Administrative Specialist performs highly responsible administrative duties of a specialized and complex nature under limited supervision. May prepare complex reports, oversee office administration, set up and maintain files, and attend meetings. Position may be responsible for budgetary information and serve as a liaison to other departments.
Additional Department Summary: The position serves as the liaison for the AVP to a diverse group including administrators, faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, and donors. Responsible for completing required training that is related to laws and regulations, that creates a more hospitable and respectful workplace; and safer work environment. Responsible for holding staff accountable for completion of required training. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years of highly responsible general office experience; OR Associates degree and two years of highly responsible general office experience; OR Bachelor's degree or higher.

Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of the programming and activities of the Career Center.
