Position Summary

Monitor, analyze and report on financial activity related to assigned Law School departments and Centers. Learn and understand assigned departments' business and operations and serve as the main point of contact from the Finance Office. Support the development of budgets and forecasts, which includes ad hoc modeling in Excel and examination of expense and revenue drivers. Oversee assigned specialty area(s) within the Law School budget process. Assist in special process and systems improvement projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Preferred Education:MBA, MPA or equivalent is preferred but not required.Required Experience:3+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination.Preferred Experience:Related financial analysis or operations experience in higher education, non-profit, and/or complex organizations.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Strong quantitative and modeling skills. Demonstrated ability to compile, manipulate, and analyze data and present financial data to end-users in a useful manner. Excellent organization, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills essential. Proficiency with intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be able to work as part of a small collaborative team and provide support to other team members on areas of specialization.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proven ability to problem solve and to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with PeopleSoft a plus.
