Description

The Department of Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA seeks a highly qualified cardiac surgeon for appointment at the Assistant Professor level. The UCLA Division of Cardiac Surgery is a nationally renowned team of experts who set standards in the field. We have a cohort of specialists, pioneering innovative technologies, who work to provide cutting edge, state of the art cardiac procedures to patients.

The ideal candidate should have expertise in diagnosing and treating diseases of the thoracic aorta. They should be proficient in surgical and interventional treatments. In addition, the candidate will actively participate in our busy ECMO program. Skills should include adult cardiac surgery procedures including heart & lung transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.

The candidate must have an M.D. or equivalent, be ABTS board eligible or certified, and be eligible for California medical licensure. The salary will be commensurate with academic rank and experience.
