Job Description:

The Office of International Education is looking to fill a part-time position to assist with study abroad programs, international student and scholar services, social and cultural events, etc. The individual who fills this role will help OIE day-to-day operations such as program promotion, student advising, supervising graduate assistants, and facilitating workshops related to faculty, study abroad students, international students and scholars.

Responsibilities:

• Help international students and study abroad students when needed.
• Review study abroad student applications and files.
• Assist advisors in processing the forms, records, letters, applications, and files for international students.
• Promote and implement OIE social and cultural events and programs, i.e. Field trip, orientation, Parade of nations, International week, Photo contests, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Additional experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum education requirement:
  • High school diploma and four (4) years' experience.
  • Associates degree and two (2) years' experience.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Previous experience working in higher education setting, or student services and study abroad programs.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work with a variety of constituents.

Pay Range:

• $15 - $17 Hourly

Special Notices:

• This is a temporary position through 12/15/2019.
