Job SummaryKeeps offices, buildings, public restrooms and all walkways clean and orderly. Sweeps, mops, vacuums carpets; removes trash and litter, cleans furniture.

Job ResponsibilitiesPosition Scope
Cleans fixtures, equipment, windows, walls, restrooms, etc. Stocks supplies in restrooms as needed.
Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors. Vacuums and spot cleans carpets.
Removes trash from trash containers

Requirements
Must be able to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be capable of a full range of body movement.
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Must attach resume and current semester's class schedule (weekly view format).
Should have a grammar school education.
No prior work experience necessary.

19hr, TTHS 2:00PM - 8:30PM

Physical RequirementsUsually works indoors or under cover if in an open air atmosphere and occasionally some unsheltered outdoor exposure as needed.
Job hazards include, but are not limited to, headache, nausea, skin and/or lung irritations or burns from chemicals, moderate muscle and/or back strains, slipping on wet floors, minor cuts, and serious injury due to falling from ladder or scaffold while cleaning.
Uses an electric cart, vacuum cleaner, sweeper, scrubber, rake, mop, hose, doodlebug, broom, step ladder, scaffolding, squeegee, gum scrapper, bucket and knife.
Uses a wide variety of industrial cleaning chemicals, degreasers and sealants, sponges, rags, light bulbs and fluorescent tubes, paper towels, and toilet paper.
Work schedule varies according to assigned work shift, Monday through Saturday with one day off.
Minimum pay is $12.00 per hour.
