The Curriculum Studies Program in the Department of Leadership, Language and Curriculum in the College of Education at DePaul University seeks to fill a full time Term faculty position in Curriculum Studies (CS) to teach in CS masters and doctoral programs. The appointment will begin in August 2019 and run through June 30, 2020, with a possibility of renewal depending on annual performance review, enrollments, and/or budget availability.

Responsibilities include teaching introductory and advanced masters and doctoral level courses, support for departmental and programmatic initiatives and student advising. Minimum qualifications include an earned doctorate in curriculum studies, curriculum and instruction, educational studies, educational foundations, or related field. Desirable candidates will have professional and scholarly experience with diverse populations.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in curriculum studies in order to teach courses such as: curriculum, school and community relations; youth culture and curriculum; curriculum assessment; history of curriculum; the study of teachers and teaching; and curriculum design. In addition, the ideal candidate should possess a pedagogical stance that demonstrates a commitment to DePaul College of Education core values such addressing issues of diversity and difference, equity, power and privilege, and the increasingly globalized context of education. Interest in and experience mentoring doctoral students and with doctoral proposal, research, and dissertation development is desired.
