Description:

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for a faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor. The Department seeks outstanding investigators employing a combination of genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology, and genomics to investigate basic mechanisms in Drosophila development and tumorigenesis. Attention will be paid particularly to applicants who has extensive experience using the Drosophila model system.

Successful applicants are expected to join Professor Wu-Min Deng’s research group and participate in projects funded by NIH and NSF, as well as develop new projects. Responsibilities will include supervising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students and contributing in grant and manuscript writing.


Qualifications:

Qualifications include a PhD with at least three years of postdoctoral training.
