Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Job Summary: The Benefits Specialist II serves as the subject matter expert for benefit programs and associated policies and procedures. Provides assistance to employees about all aspects of benefit plans and enrollment. Acts as a liaison with vendors on special projects.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Human Resources or Benefits environment; OR Master’s degree and some Human Resources or Benefits experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Experience to include at least one year in Benefits Administration.

Skills and Knowledge: General benefits terminology; COBRA, Family and Medical Leave; current and recent benefits legislation and trends. Good computer skills to include spreadsheet and database applications.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a human resources environment. Certification in human resources or recognized certification in the area of Benefits.
