General Summary: Supervises the College accounts payable function

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of two years related experience. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to make decisions.

Duties:

1. Handles vendor and internal accounts payable inquiries.

2. Runs and/or reviews daily reports.

3. Approves time sheets, utility vouchers, expense reports, journal entries, stop payment request forms, cash receipt vouchers, credit applications, $3,000+ checks and non-routine payments to vendors.

4. Processes, reviews and submits annual 1099 forms to IRS.

5. Prepares quarterly accounts payable reconciliation of accounts.

6. Works with outside auditors during annual audits and pre-audits.

7. Interviews, recommends and trains accounts payable staff.

8. Supervises the maintenance and control of filing procedures and imaging to ensure the safekeeping and efficient retrieval of supporting documents requiring the issuance of checks for payment.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.



Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
