We are looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our team to deliver world class applications to the University environment. You will be working with a smart team of Engineers, QA Engineers, and Product Managers to lead and drive the release of all enterprise software.

QA Engineers test code at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs use black box, gray box, and white box testing techniques; they understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests and user-level test automation tools. As a QA Engineer on our team, you will work side by side with Software Development Engineers and Product Managers to develop features and evaluate technical implementation. You will also work with groups such as Product Management, User Experience Design, and Customer Support to understand customer usage models to develop your test plans and test suites that exercise real-world scenarios.

  • Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • In-depth understanding of the use of automated testing tools, including skill to perform automated QA procedures. Toolset include: Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, Katalon, Selenium and UFT.

  • In-depth understanding of the design, development and analysis of software. In-depth skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and analysis.

  • Creates and tracks the release improvement process to be applied across all IT domains and initiates new projects related to release management. Knowledge of CI/CD strategy, code repositories and code management, along with build pipelines

  • Demonstrated knowledge relating to the design, development and analysis of software.

  • A Bachelor's Degree; or equivalent experience working in software development or quality organizations, writing QA tools and automated tests for web-based and mobile applications

  • Demonstrated experience in writing test plans, test automation, or test cases.

  • In-depth knowledge of software functions and analysis. In-depth skills in software testing.

  • Thorough knowledge of other areas of IT. Knowledge of department processes and procedures.

  • Understands compliance requirements for applicable industry or agency standards. Knowledge of the ISO standards and the Compatibility Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) model.

  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Self-motivated, ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, works independently and as part of a team and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
