Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

J.D degree and a licensed member of the GA State Bar are required for applicant consideration. At least three years experience investigating claims of unlawful harassment and discrimination. Knowledge of Title IX coordination and OCR practices and procedures. Higher Education experience. Prefer 3-5 years experience in discrimination or employment law. Experience in investigating student sexual misconduct cases.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director, the Investigator will conduct investigations of complaints of discrimination and harassment; prepare reports regarding investigation findings; develop and conduct training for faculty, staff, and students on recognizing, reporting and preventing unlawful harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Assist in drafting and enforcing University policies.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Experience investigating claims of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
Knowledge of Title IX coordination and OCR practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Civil Rights laws and regulations.
Higher education experience.
Experience in investigating student sexual misconduct cases.

Conduct investigation of complaints of discrimination and harassment with the UGA community.

Serve as support to Director in operational matters of the EOO as they relate to oversight of the Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment (NDAH) Policy.

Respond to questions from members of the UGA community and others on a wide variety of issues relating to matters within the purview of the UGA EOO.

Assist in collection and analysis of statistics relevant to matters within the purview of the EOO. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of records and reports.
