Serves as liaison between FSU customers and service providers, participating in policy and best practices development.

This position configures, maintains, troubleshoots, or modifies computer hardware, multimedia equipment, and related devices. Initiates routine diagnostics to determine cause of equipment failure and follows standard procedures for problem resolution. Installs and customizes application software.

Serves as a principle point of contact to answer inquiries and serves as liaison between end users and the appropriate Information Technology Services (ITS) area or University department able to provide problem resolution, within defined turnaround time.

Trains users on basic computer function, software, or multimedia equipment to facilitate and enhance their work experience.

Creates and maintains documentation related to procedures used to support computing customers.

Performs other duties as assigned. A State vehicle, golf cart, utility vehicle, or all-terrain vehicle will be used to reach site premises. A valid driver’s license will be needed in order to operate vehicle.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency and two years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.

Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Ability to convey technical information to technical and non-technical users.

Ability to document existing and new processes.

Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.

Ability to utilize problem solving and technical skills.

A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one

Knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.

Knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems.

Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures for computer support.

Knowledge of computer operations, functions, and related peripherals.Preferred Experience supporting Mac OS 10.12-10.14 and Windows 8.1-10.

Experience supporting Email clients (i.e., Outlook 2016, O365 Click to Run) and Microsoft productivity suite (Office 2016 and O365 Click-to-Run).

Experience performing virus/malware diagnosis and remediation.

Basic understanding of Active Directory, and operating systems’ network configuration and troubleshooting.

Must be knowledgeable in a broad, constantly evolving assortment of IT policies, procedures, and technologies.

Preferred experience with modern device management.

Preferred experience with vulnerability management such as antivirus/malware protection, detection and remediation.Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.Schedule If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
