The Government Department at the University of Texas at Austin is seeking to hire a leading scholar in Public Law, for a tenured position at the rank of Full Professor to begin in Fall 2020. The search is open to scholars working in any specialty within the field of Public Law, broadly defined. Duties will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and service to the Department, the College of Liberal Arts, and the University.

The successful candidate will have a highly distinguished scholarly record of publication, a record of teaching excellence, and demonstrated excellence in intellectual and institutional leadership. The Department is interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research, and service. The application should highlight experience working with diverse populations; examples might include mentoring activities, research interests, committee service, courses taught, recruitment and retention activities.
