Associates Degree in related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Nature & Purpose of Position

Performs advanced Administrative Assistant and office management duties for the Office of Equity and Inclusion | Title IX.

Primary Responsibilities

Performs advanced Administrative Assistant duties to include:

Sharing departmental or university information as it relates to Title IX, Sexual Misconduct or other Equity/Inclusion issues;

Scheduling appointments and activities;

Preparing and disseminating departmental documents and correspondence;

Managing departmental purchases and monitoring expenses;

Assisting with Title IX case management;

Verifying faculty, staff, and student required training completions;

Attending university trainings to stay current with university purchasing requirements for SHSU P-Card, Bearkat Buy Marketplace, Chrome River, and contract vendors (Aramark, SHSU Copy Press, etc).

Assisting with staff travel arrangements, registrations, expense reports and reimbursements;

Serving as a member of the department programming team, assisting with special projects as assigned;

Other Specifications

Experience working with sensitive issues and/or confidential information.

Experience multi-tasking, prioritizing workload, and completing projects within deadlines in a busy student service environment.

Experience with basic accounting/book keeping, handling payments, and creating budget reports.

Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook).
