Bachelor’ degree in related field. Certification in Information Technology. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English. Must be proficient in MS Office, both MAC and Windows programming, and internet research. 1-2 years of teaching experience. Must have an ability to create an active learning environment and maintain a positive and energetic attitude.
Must be able to demonstrate the Morton College core values of compassion, fairness, respect, responsibility, tolerance and truth.Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching in a community college setting. Experience working with diverse student population.Job Summary
Teach and develop courses in Basic and Intermediate Computer Skills in English and Spanish, including beginning office software usage and programming. Submit data on student attendance and progress as required. Attend staff meetings and development activities.Specific Job Duties
•Design, facilitate, and teach basic computer instruction.
•Prepare and execute lesson plans, assigning tasks and evaluating student work and progress.
•Develop course syllabus, assess, supervise, and motivate students.
•Promote safe, effective, and ethical learning environment.
•Use professional discretion and judgment in managing students in classroom setting.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
