Provides administrative support to the Chair of the Department and Provides excellent customer service by phone and in person; schedules use of the conference room and performs other duties as assigned. Also, assist the Department Chair to collate the material to sustain ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accreditation. Overseeing varied and critical administrative duties. Compose and types correspondence, ordering supplies and equipment, maintaining expenditure records, taking minutes at department faculty meetings and preparation of reports and related materials.
Maintains departmental files and other records. Collects semester materials from all faculty; enters semester schedule and register students into BANNER.
Maintains the Chair’s calendar and schedule appointments. Supervises and coordinates activities of student workers. Provides excellent customer service by phone and in person; schedules use of the conference room and performs other duties as assigned.
Two years college or vocational/technical school.
Office management skills and a good working knowledge of office equipment, computer, various computer software packages such as Microsoft office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Background and/or credit check may be required.
Knowledge of Banner and PeopleSoft is a plus.
