Division/Department Information

The Department of Accountancy in the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John's University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or associate professor, to begin in fall 2020. Approximately 3,000 students are enrolled in the Tobin College of Business—about 2,400 undergraduates and 600 graduate students. Together they represent 36 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and 75 foreign countries. The Tobin College of Business has AACSB accreditation and the Department of Accountancy earned separate accreditation from AACSB for its graduate and undergraduate programs in April 2004.

The Department of Accountancy is looking for a candidate who can support the growth of its undergraduate and graduate programs in the area of analytics and who can assume the position of Director of the Center for Accounting Research and Analytics (CARA). Candidates should have completed a Ph.D. in accounting before September, 2020, with a focus in accounting information systems and analytics preferred. Candidates with research portfolios and/or significant professional practitioner experience, as well as demonstrated teaching performance are preferred. Professional certification is required, and knowledge of the certification processes (especially in New York) is optimal.
