Job Description

This position will be open until filled. Application review will begin 11/16/2019. For full consideration all application related materials should be submitted by 11/15/2019.

The Instructor will teach courses in subject matter pertaining to accounting. Teaching and leadership includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Teaching assignments will be courses that prepare students for certification in areas of emphasis such as Financial, Managerial, Tax Accounting and other accounting courses. 
  • Assigned courses, days, times and/or locations may vary from semester to semester. 
  • Assignments may be any combination of classroom and online modes. 
  • Assignments may be located on any combination of CSN's several campuses. 
  • Assignments may be any combination of morning, afternoon and evening hours. 
  • Assignments may be any combination of any days of the week including weekends. 
  • Assignments may be any combination of courses for which instructor is qualified.
  • Leader and/or membership in department and college-wide committees. 
  • Collaborate with other Accounting faculty in developing courses and selecting textbooks.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Accounting from a regionally accredited college/university.  
  • Two years teaching experience as an accounting instructor at a college or university.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) such as Canvas or Blackboard. 
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce and/or student body.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Accounting with a CPA and/or CFE professional certification.

Starting Salary Range

Initial salary placement is based on educational level and total years of full-time equivalent teaching experience. A maximum of 10 years of experience will be considered for initial salary placement purposes.
