The A. B. Freeman School of Business of Tulane University is seeking exceptional applicants in Accounting for the Francis Martin Chair in Business. The successful candidate for this endowed Chair will qualify for appointment as a professor with tenure in accounting at the Freeman School, and have an exceptional record of scholarly research, teaching, and service in the field of accounting.

The Freeman School of Business was established in 1914 and is a founding member of AACSB, the highly regarded accrediting organization for business schools. The Freeman School of Business is one of Tulane University’s 10 schools and colleges. Today, the Freeman School is a leading, internationally recognized business school with approximately 3,000 students in programs spanning the globe. Together, Tulane University, the Freeman School, and the vibrant City of New Orleans are laboratories of innovation and entrepreneurship, encouraging the start up of new business in a range of sectors, from technology to education, hospitality to energy.


Qualifications:

The holder of the Francis Martin Chair in Business is expected to strengthen the School’s ability to attract and educate finance students of high quality and to position the School as a leader in business education and research. The chair holder will also contribute by mentoring junior faculty, and participate in our Ph.D. Program. Salary, teaching load, and faculty resources will be competitive with similar appointments at leading research universities. Ultimate recruitment for this position is subject to final budgetary approval by the University.
