Part-time Faculty: Welding, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Computer Aided Drafting
St. Charles Community College is located just west of St. Louis, nestled in the heart of growing St. Charles County. Established in 1986, SCC is a public, comprehensive two-year community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs in the arts, business, sciences and career-technical fields. SCC also provides workforce training and community-based personal and professional development as well as cultural, recreational and entertainment opportunities.
St. Charles Community College invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of part-time faculty to teach Welding, Manufacturing, Logistics and/or Computer Aided Drafting courses this upcoming spring 2020 semester. Part-time appointments made on a semester-by-semester (as needed) basis.
Our part-time faculty may participate in benefits such as a 50% SCC tuition waiver for themselves and their families, professional development, fitness center and child care and bookstore discount.
- General: Master's degree in related field, some teaching or training experience.
- Computer Aided Drafting:
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Preferred: Considerable knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit software particularly as it applies to 3D work is necessary. Previous teaching experience is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students is important.
