Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a closely related field by the time the appointment begins and are expected to present evidence of excellence in research and teaching. Preference will be given to those with research interests in applied mathematics that complement those of the department and strengthen our PhD program. We are interested in applicants with transdisciplinary research interests. The successful applicant will teach two courses per semester (four per year), ordinarily in their area of interest. Teaching load reductions are available for those with outside funding. The salary is negotiable based upon experience. The successful candidate will start at NMT by August of 2020.

New Mexico Tech offers the B.S. in Mathematics degree, M.S. in Mathematics degrees with specializations in analysis, operations research and statistics, and industrial mathematics and has a PhD program in mathematics with Dissertation in applied and industrial mathematics.
