Associate or Full Professor - Ohio Eminent Scholar Faculty Position in Plant Biology and Genetics

The Department of Molecular Genetics in the College of Arts & Sciences at The Ohio State University (https://molgen.osu.edu) invites applications from individuals at the level of Associate or Full Professor for an Ohio Eminent Scholar (OES) tenure-track position. The Ohio Eminent Scholars Program recognizes a prestigious group of distinguished scholars across Ohio receiving supplemental research funding from the OES endowment. We seek outstanding candidates using cutting edge techniques to investigate fundamental questions in any area of plant biology and genetics. The successful candidate will bring an independent, externally funded, and internationally recognized research program, and teach in their area of expertise. The candidate will be eligible for membership in the Center for Applied Plant Sciences (https://caps.osu.edu), as well as other campus Centers and Institutes

(https://www.osu.edu/centers.html), and may also hold affiliate appointments in other campus departments. The hire will join a departmental faculty who study fundamental biology using a wide variety of model organisms and will become part of a strong campus-wide plant sciences community.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have an outstanding record of creativity and excellence in research and must hold an appointment of Associate Professor or equivalent, or higher, at the time of application.
