Position Summary

The Flint Center for Health Equity Solutions ("The Center") is seeking a full-time Center Administrator to oversee human resources, budgeting, and other administrative functions. The Center consists of 4 Cores and 2 Intervention Projects, each with its own team members and work flow. The Center Administrator will work collaboratively with all Center components, as well as Division of Public Health staff, to integrate and streamline processes. The individual who fills this position will recruit, on-board, and retain personnel who contribute to the successful completion of Center objectives. The Center is expanding a set of collaborative tools including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Skype for Business to engage both internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will leverage existing tools and seek additional resources to improve Center functions. The ideal candidate will lead quality improvement projects, compliance, grant submissions, reporting, development, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in administration, social science or other related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in office procedures and administration, or in performing responsibilities related to the operational activities of the employing unit; experience in a supervisory role; experience with word processing, database, spreadsheet, presentation software and/or desktop publishing, web page software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Advanced degree in administration, social science, or another relevant field; 8 - 10 years of related and progressively more expansive work experience in a field related to the position including planning and developing multiple projects; communications content management (written, verbal, digital); database, spreadsheet, presentation, calendaring software, desktop publishing and/or project management software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
