Pay Grade/Pay Range: 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 33675.24 Midpoint - $ 49171.20

Department/Organization: 209317 - Early College

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; Some night and weekend work required especially during the summer months.

Job Summary: The Program Coordinator, CCS is responsible for supporting the overall coordination and development of a program(s). Assists with program design, management, and implementation. Promotes the program and serves as liaison between the program and contacts internal and external to the University.

Additional Department Summary: The Program Coordinator of Summer Programs will oversee the UA Early College Summer on Campus program, which is a residential program for high school students earning college credit through The University of Alabama and UA Early College LEAP Camps, which are week-long camps for rising ninth-grade students. The Program Coordinator will plan, outline, and organize all programming, recruitment, and marketing for both Summer on Campus and LEAP programs. In addition, the Program Coordinator will have the primary responsibility for managing live-in residence staff for the Summer on Campus program and camp counselors for the LEAP Program. Some night and weekend work required especially during the summer months.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years of experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Some evening and weekend work is required.

Skills and Knowledge: An interest in working with junior high school and high school students. The person must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Further, the person must demonstrate poise and ability to relate incredibly well with middle and high school students, parents, and educators. The person must have the ability to work with different cultures and groups of people as well as possess the abilities to be a self-starter and independent worker.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with junior high school and high school students. Housing, residential community experience, or experience working in a college/university setting. Experience with OnBase and Blackboard Learn as well as experience with marketing for a large program.
