DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Practice Support Coordinator primarily oversees, provides leadership and training for all front end duties such as reception, call center, referral and authorizations and other advanced administrative duties such as templates, office purchases, coaching, etc. The Practice Support Coordinator has oversight over junior counterparts. The Practice Support Coordinator serves as a resource for the entire department. With the guidance of the Clinic Manager, the Practice Support Specialist initiates and participates in improvement efforts which directly impact the practice. Job standards are to be performed at the EXPERT level. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience as administrative lead; and front office administration. Possess the skills, and extensive knowledge of practices in Clinic setting.

  • A minimum of four (4+) years of relevant experience.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with previous ambulatory care experience.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the functions of the GI IBD Center.

  • Solid ability to articulate physician's areas of expertise. Strong communication and written skills as the coordinator will speak with MD’s and directors.

  • Understands the external infusion authorization process.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the TAR process.

  • Proven understanding of authorization process for genetic testing.

  • Proficiency using computer programs to include Excel, PowerPoint, Graphs, Word, etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.
  • Expert EPIC knowledge – Cadence and Referral processing.
  • Possess organizational and time management skills as this person has to keep track of follow up referrals.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Able to flex work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays if required for business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
