Teaching – Faculty responsibilities and essential functions with respect to teaching (including lab, studio, or production management) may include but are not limited to: subject matter competence, course design, course presentation, and grading student work.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Data analysis of next generation sequence data sets.
Management and co-ordination of multi-institution projects designed to explore the relationship between complex microbial communities and human and ecosystem health.
Project lead on publications and grantsMinimum Experience/Education
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.Preferred Education, Skills and Experience
Ph.D. in Biology or Bioinformatics or related field.
Experience in analysis of large genomic datasets.
Proficiency in a computer language.
Comfort with statistical modeling.
