Assistant Professor of Political Science
The Department of Political Science & International Relations and the Communications program at Siena College invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Political Communication at the Assistant Professor level to begin in the Fall of 2020. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Political Science, Communications, or a related field by the time of appointment.
As a liberal arts institution, we seek candidates with a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence. The successful candidate will teach a regular 3 course load each semester, primarily in the Political Communications track of the interdisciplinary Communications major. The successful candidate must be qualified to teach Introduction to Political Communication, Mass Media & Government, Political Advertising & Marketing, and Special Topics in Political Communications, as well as an introductory level political science course. Preferred candidates will be qualified to teach research methods courses in Political Science or Communications.
