Position Summary

The Senior Grants Manager in the Office of Sponsored Research at NYU Tandon School of Engineering supports faculty in post award administration of sponsored projects and programs. Position reports to Director of Research Administration and works with members of Tandon’s Pre-award Proposal Development team, Finance, Tandon units and research centers, and NYU’s Offices of Sponsored Programs and Sponsored Programs Administration to set-up, administer, and report on grants. The Senior Grants Manager at Tandon is responsible for financial and non-financial post-award grants management, fiscal compliance, monitoring and reporting for all federal, state, city, county, foundation and not for profit grants, contracts, subcontracts and other related sponsored agreements at Tandon’s School of Engineering. The Senior Grants Manager provides thorough review and analysis of all Tandon sponsored project awards established in CAYUSE by the Office of Sponsored Programs and creates Tandon awards in CAYUSE under the direction of the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:5+ years Experience and understanding of university accounting and grants and contracts management; post award grants management, knowledge of pre award process. Knowledge of compliance with sponsor requirements.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Team player with a 'can-do' approach to work. Detail-oriented, analytical, and organized. Capacity to develop and maintain strong professional relationships across the organization. Resourceful and works independently. Handles confidential information with discretion and tact. Sound judgment with process improvement mindset.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of grants management systems and software helpful. Previous experience in developing grants budgets.
