Nature of Work

The Department of Natural Sciences, which is housed within the School of Arts and Sciences, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part Time Instructor of Geology. Part time faculty will work in the School of Arts and Sciences which consists of faculty members with strong records of academic excellence. Part time faculty are assigned classes on an as needed basis.

Essential Duties

The successful candidate will teach Physical, Environmental and/or Historical Geology, lecture and/or laboratory, prepare exams and submit grade and attendance reports, and maintain office hours.

Minimum Qualifications and Training

Must have a Master’s degree in Geology or a Master’s degree with eighteen semester hours at the graduate level in the Geology area in which they will be teaching.

Preferred Qualifications and Training

Applicants who demonstrate evidence of recent, successful post-secondary teaching experience are preferred.
