Description
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers a one-year post-sophomore/junior fellowship in Pathology to medical students currently enrolled in accredited medical schools ONLY. Medical students that are completing their second or third year of medical school may apply.
Fellowship Expectation:
After an orientation period, fellows are given patient care responsibilities similar to first-year residents with appropriate supervision. Fellows rotate on various anatomic and clinical pathology services including surgical pathology, transfusion medicine, hematopathology, and autopsy, amongst others, at the UCLA Medical Center. Depending on interest and feasibility, opportunities exist for clinical/translational research and clinical electives.
